Democratic & Republican Political National Convention's ~ There's an APP for That!

RNC & DNC Launches Mobile Convention App's

The Republican National Convention begins Monday August 27, 2012 in Tampa, FL.

On Vacation!

Can't get to a TV!

Don't worry, NOW there is an "App for That!"

In this world of #SocialMedia you better have an App or be left in the blur of 24 hour news and information that can go by so fast it will make your Smart Phone spin!

The Republican National Convention host committee launched its free mobile app!

The app will allow live stream convention coverage, social media plug-ins and a slew of visitor-friendly features, like Florida maps, weather information and local news.

The app was developed by AT&T and is available on Apple iOS devices and Android platforms.

Features include: Main Button ~ Attend: Gives the Schedule, Map,Delegate Shuttle Bus info, #GOP store, "Share My Experience, and Profile.
Convention Without Walls: Live Stream, #Twitter Plug in, Photos section and news.
Explore Tampa Bay: Weather-Local News-Florida Fun Facts-Games, Transportation, GOParty Card Discounts and a Scavenger Hunt!

To me the "Live Stream" is important and breaking news, a  must have!

Not to be outdone the Democratic National Convention which begins on Monday September 3, 2012 in Charlotte, NC, also has released there App!

The app also was developed by AT&T and is available on Apple iOS devices and Android platforms.

The App will stream convention speeches have an interactive map of uptown that shows the location of the three main DNC venues — Charlotte Convention Center, Time Warner Cable Arena and Bank of America Stadium — as well as shops and restaurants, news etc.

I must admit, it's a little more confusing on a Smart Phone then the #GOP one, as it looks better on an #iPad or Tablet  in the way it is set up!

iPhone Screenshot 1Your MAIN BUTTONS are on the bottom then you have to turn your phone to read the sub-Menu's.
They Include:

Convention: Sub- Social Media plug ins, Press Releases and a Blog feature.

You can watch a Video provided by the Democratic National Convention explaining the App below:
Again to me the Live Stream and breaking news and social media integration is key makes this one also a must have!

No matter what your Political Affiliation is, both these Apps are MUST get to stay connected where ever you are in your busy life to have BOTH conventions right at your finger tips!
