Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, separated after she learned he had fathered a child more than a decade ago — before his first run for office — with a longtime member of their household staff.(See Photos of Mildred Patricia Baena 50)
Shriver moved out of the family's Brentwood mansion earlier this year, after Schwarzenegger acknowledged the paternity. The staff member worked for the family for 20 years, retiring in January."After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago," Schwarzenegger said.

In fact the birth certificate shows that "Arnold Jr." was born the same week as Schwarzenegger and Shriver's youngest son. In fact Maria and Mildred were VERY close during there pregnacy as the two helped each other and Maria Shriver gave Mildred lots of presents to the mom-to-be at her baby shower!

Shriver released the following statement: "This is a painful and heartbreaking time. As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment.''

The oddest of couple's..... That's what everyone thought when Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver first got together.
He was this Austrian-American former professional bodybuilder(yes STEROID), actor, model, businessman. Schwarzenegger has admitted to using performance-enhancing anabolic steroids while they were legal,(OK?) writing in 1977 that "steroids were helpful to me in maintaining muscle size while on a strict diet in preparation for a contest."(SOUNDS LOGICAL, RIGHT?) "I did not use them for muscle growth, but rather for muscle maintenance when cutting up."(SOUND LEGIT, RIGHT?) He has called the drugs "tissue building."   Whatever!

Maria Shriver the niece of John F. Kennedy, the daughter of prominent politician and diplomat Sargent Shriver and Eunice Kennedy Shriver, sister of John F. and Robert Kennedy.

They meet at a charity tennis tournament event in 1977, introduced by Tom Brokaw the night before at a party, being held at Maria's mother's home. At 21, Maria had recently graduated from Georgetown University. She already had a clear direction in which she wanted to take her life--a career in news reporting--and was enrolled in the Westinghouse broadcast-training program. Part of the large, close-knit Kennedy family, Maria had joined the clan at the Robert F. Kennedy Pro-Celebrity Tennis Tournament in Forest Hills, N.Y., held annually in honor of her late uncle.
"Your daughter has a great body," Arnold told Maria's mother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, that day. He's funny, Maria thought. And gutsy. Everyone around them sensed the instant chemistry.
Maria invited Arnold to the Kennedys' legendary compound in Hyannis Port, Mass. later that night. As her brother remarked, "Maria had never met a guy and brought him to the Cape that fast.""I was pretty sure when I met him that I would marry him," said Maria. "I admired his Independence, his focus, his drive, his humor.

I thought I would have a challenging life with him. Not an easy life, but an interesting one."
The couple began dating as Maria was working her way up the TV-news ladder, first as a segment producer and eventually as an on-camera reporter. Her big break was a reporting slot for CBS News.Maria wanted to develop her own identity, professionally and personally, before she married.

Arnold was equally determined to succeed focusing heavly on his movie career after having retired from bodybuilding in 1980 after winning his record 7th Mr. Olympia. In 1983 Arnold became a US citizen.

In the summer of 1985, Arnold took Maria home with him to Thal, Austria. While they were in a rowboat on the lake where Arnold swam as a child, he asked her to be his wife.

"Are you serious?" asked Maria.
Arnold presented her with a diamond engagement ring. He was serious. "We'd been together eight years, so naturally I said, 'Yes!' " recalled Maria.

She married Schwarzenegger on April 26, 1986, in Hyannis, Massachusetts, at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. All air traffic within a two-mile radius of the Kennedy compound was forbidden to cruise below 2,000 feet. At 11 a.m. Maria, 30, and Arnold, 38, entered the Church. Arnold wore tails and Maria wore a pearl-edged white satin-and-lace gown, with an 11-foot train, designed by Marc Bohan of Christian Dior. She carried a bouquet of French posies and roses.

When Arnold gave his future in-laws a silk-screened photo of Maria made by pop artist Andy Warhol (one of the wedding guests), he told them, "I'm not really taking her away, because I am giving this to you so you will always have her."
"I love her and I will always take care of her. Nobody should worry," Arnold assured the guests.
They have four children.

But now flash forward to May 9, 2011 with the joint announcement of there separation. Maria has been unhappy with him for years, sources say, and planned to break up in 2009 until her mother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, passed away.
Then, Maria wanted to try to break it off with Schwarzenegger again in January 2011, but her father died, once again putting the split on hold.
In any case, insiders say she is fed up with Arnold's infidelities, coupled with the fact he's been "impossible" to live with for myriad reasons.

However, once Maria(55) finally decided to separate from Arnold(63), he pulled a 180 and he's been "working extremely hard" to win her back of late.
As one source says, "He could not be sweeter now that she's left him."

What will happen to this Oddest of couples, time will well. For now it's just another Hollywood marriage that has gone bad!

Perform This Way (Lady GaGa) - Weird Al Yankovic

Was just minding my own business watching sports on the TV, Tweeting as I occasionally do. When along comes a story about Weird Al Yankovic and a new parody of Lady GaGa's Born This Way. It seemed Al did a parody of her song titled, "Perform This Way", but GaGa was NOT happy with it as were her manager. So Weird Al puts it on his blog and YouTube for ALL to see.
Saying "The following song was supposed to be on my upcoming album....Unfortunately it did NOT receive Lady Gaga's approval. Had this been released, all proceeds from the sale of the song and video would have gone to The Human Rights Campaign"
Even though he says he has the legal authority to put a song parody on a record, he has a long-standing policy of not doing so without consent from the artist he's spoofing.
Now we all know Weird Al's exploits. He has done some amazing parodies over his career. Some of Yankovic early recorded ones, "Another One Rides the Bus" a parody of Queen's hit "Another one bites the dust" in 1981 and "I Love Rocky Road", (a parody of "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" as recorded by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts) 1982.

He said though, "What made my career was the parodies I did of some of Michael Jacksons songs "eat it"(Beat It) and "Fat"(Bad). "The first time around I pursued Michael Jackson about a song parody, it was a shot in the dark. We're talking about the most popular and famous person in the known universe and here I was, this goofy comedy songwriter. He not only returned our phone calls, but he approved it," Yankovic writes.He described his experiences of meeting Jackson as "otherworldly. He was and continues to be so iconic, it's hard to even conceive of him as a human being. He always was bigger than life," Yankovic says.
But Michael did say NO to a parody of "Black and White", leaving Al to turn to Smells Like Nirvana - a parody of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in 1992.
Before that he did a Madonna song "Like a Surgeon" ,(Like a Virgin) in 1985.
In 1999 he tackled Don McLean's "American Pie with ""The Saga Begins"
So now he parodies Lady GaGa. And as I write this, she has had a change of heart, FAN AND MEDIA PRESSURE, and given Weird Al her blessings. She should be honored to join the exclusive list that can say, I GOT PARODIED BY WEIRD AL YANKOVIC!

Barry Bonds is NOW a convicted Criminal - Guilty of Obstruction of Justice. Bonds sat stone face through the reading of the verdict in the courtroom, showing NO emotion! Bonds' always claims that he didn't knowingly use performance-enhancing drugs.

The jury of eight women and four men began their deliberations at 8:30 a.m. PT  Friday April 8, 2011 after a 12 day trail in San Francisco. The jury took the weekend off and resumed deliberations Monday morning, including asking for the testimony of Bonds’ personal shopper to be read back to them.

Bonds was originally indicted in November 2007. He pleaded not guilty to four counts of lying to a grand jury when he said he never knowingly took performance-enhancing drugs. Bonds also pleaded not guilty to one count of obstruction.

After a government prosecution that lasted nearly seven years, Federal guidelines recommend a prison sentence of between 15 and 21 months, though Bonds' punishment could be far less severe.

So the seven-time MVP, all-time home run king, son of the late great Bobby Bonds, Godson to the legend ball player Willie Mays, 46-year-old former outfielder for the San Fransisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates is now a convicted criminal for taken steroids and trying to tell the world he never did.

The only verdict jurors rendered was to find that Bonds obstructed justice by providing an evasive answer to one question. In short, they found Bonds guilty of rambling, of dancing around a question, of being (for anyone who has ever interviewed him can attest) Barry Lamar Bonds.Bonds was more close than he realized on Count Two, the charge that he lied when he said no one other than a doctor had injected him. The jurors were unanimously in favor of a conviction on that count Monday but then decided to go home and sleep on it. The next day, a lone holdout emerged, and she remained against a conviction to the end.

I must admit, I was into the whole home run chase. From Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa, too Barry chasing the Babe and Hank Aaron. It was what baseball needed at the time. The 1998 battle between Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire was exhilarating and incredible drama as it unfolded each night. We all got caught up in the moment of two worriers battling  with the sabots each night. Major League Baseball wont admit it but the home run chase with Sosa, McGwire and Bonds, who was still trying to win back fans from the strike-shortened 1994 season, was just what they needed. When the strike ended in 1995, fans were upset and attendance at stadiums plunged. Major League Baseball needed something to win fans back, and it came in the form of a home run.
In 1961, Roger Maris hit 61 home runs for the New York Yankees. For the next 36 years, only 6 players (Willie Mays, George Foster, Cecil Fielder, Albert Belle, Brady Anderson, Mark McGwire) hit 50+ home runs.
Then came the year of the home run, and YES The YEARS of the STEROIDS!  In my opinion baseball looked the other way, as we all looked at drug induced ball players showing us how NOT to play the game!
